When registering, by providing your phone number you are opting into receiving text message updates.

*It's very important that you check the accuracy of the email you plan to use for your username. We send out all scholarship communications to the email you sign-up with. Please use an email you check regularly. We recommend you avoid using work emails or old school emails.

The application consists of:

• Educational History
• Financial Information
• Short Essay Questions

We ask these questions to see what scholarships you are eligible to receive.

You may save your progress and make changes to your application until the deadline.

The short answer responses are the most important part of your application!

We are looking to see that you are committed to your goals at WCC, that you can persist in your education when challenged, and that a scholarship will be an investment in your success.

Remember to have someone else read your answers and help you revise them before you finalize your application. We recommend visiting the Writing Center in the Phyllis and Charles Self Learning Commons in Room 130, next to the Media Center and to attend office hours. 

You’ll need to add one unofficial transcript to your application. Pick your most recent transcript.

If you’re a WCC student, you can look up your unofficial transcript here. If you have trouble downloading your transcript, you’re welcome to use screenshots.

However, if you have no recent transcripts you may upload a document briefly explaining why you don’t have access to a transcript.

When you ask someone to submit a recommendation for your application, they are asked to complete a brief survey instead of a traditional letter. 

In the Recommendation tab of your scholarship application, add your recommender’s contact information and click the Send Request button. This will send an email to your recommender.

The email often ends up in the Spam Folder. Please let your recommender know to check the Spam folder. 

*If your Recommender doesn't fill out the survey this will not negatively impact your application. The application will still be marked as complete. However, getting an outside perspective on our applicants helps reviewers during their process. Try and choose someone you know well and is responsive to increase your chances of having the recommendation submitted on time.
