Starfish can help you with: 

• Appointment scheduling with advisors, coaches, and some faculty
• Degree planning: create a degree plan that you can work on with an advisor and refer to from anywhere you have access to internet.

Starfish also allows you to track your progress:

• View kudos and flags raised by instructors during early alert progress surveys
• View your academic standing (International Students, visit International Programs staff to ask about your current academic standing)

Where can I access Starfish?

 By clicking the button right below that says WCC Starfish!

Please use Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox when accessing Starfish.
Using the either Internet Explorer or Microsoft Edge is known to cause issues.

You can also access your unique Starfish dashboard through your MyWCC account! Sign in with your WCC network username/password and you will find the login for Starfish under the “Advising” tab. You will need to use your WCC username/password for Starfish access.

Getting started with Starfish

• To find your advisor, look in your “success network” in Starfish. Click the three dots by their name and click "schedule."
  • Your advisor is assigned depending on your academic program you have selected in ctcLink. You can learn more about advisors by visiting the Advising and Career Services webpage

• When you log into the system you will automatically land on the My Success Network page
• The people in your Success Network are often advisors, faculty, or teaching assistants: people that you have a one-on-one relationship with
• If you click on the three dots by the advisor’s name, you can schedule an appointment (click “schedule”), email them, call them, or view their profile
• Your success network will also show you all of your 1:1 connections, plus a list of all available services by scrolling down
• You can also use the search bar to look for people or services. If you do not see your advisor in your success network, you can search for them by name
