The Whatcom Community College Foundation

WCC Foundation awards more than 200 Whatcom students a scholarship each year thanks to contributions from the community. Students can apply for 250+ WCC Foundation scholarship opportunities through a single application.

Whatcom Community Foundation

WECU Member Scholarships – Eight $1,000 scholarships
In 2024, $1,000 scholarships will be awarded to 8 eligible students. To better identify WECU members for scholarship interest, a student inquiry form will be available from WECU between April 1st through April 30th. All WCC students interested in applying for a WECU scholarship will be sent an application packet via email from WCC in May.


SWAN Scholarship
The SWAN Scholarship is awarded to women who work or reside in Skagit County. SWAN’s goal is to award a minimum of $2,000 to two or more recipients each year. Applications are accepted year-round with consideration occurring annually by September and fund distribution occurring as early as October. To apply complete the linked form and submit via email to swanskagit@gmail.com.

HLAA-Whatcom County Founders Fund Scholarship
The HLAA - Whatcom County Founders Fund Scholarship provides $2,000 scholarships to Whatcom County students who are experiencing hearing loss to attend any post-secondary school. GPA 2.0 minimum, must provide documentation of hearing loss.

Matched Education Savings Account (MESA)

Industrial Credit Union is offering a special savings program that can help
students earn an additional $1500 for educational expenses. MESA participants
who fulfill the program requirement will receive $3 in matching funds for every $1
