The Accessible Technology procedure of Whatcom Community College is to ensure that information technology (IT) and electronic content provide comparable functionality, experience, and information access to students, employees, and community members with disabilities, including those who use assistive technology.

The procedure applies to the procurement, development, and implementation of instructional, administrative, and or communications technologies/content deployed by Whatcom by individuals or groups responsible for electronic content publishing/management. Further, the procedure applies to both current and emerging technologies (hardware and software) in use or being evaluated for purchase or adoption by the College. 

This procedure encompasses, but is not limited to College website, learning management tools, student information systems, human resources technology, training materials, instructional materials, and assessment tools.
