Talkin’ Stories – Students of Color in Higher Education

  • Date: 04/10/2024 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm
  • Location: Simpson Intercultural Center SYRE217

We invite you to join the Simpson Intercultural Center for our next Talkin’ Stories event. Talkin’ Stories are student led, informal, open-forum discussions regarding diversity, equity, and inclusion related issues in our community. They are a great opportunity to hear from current WCC students regarding issues that are important to them.

Our next Talkin’ Stories event will explore some of the unique experiences of students of color in higher education. How do students of color experience higher education differently? How does that impact their educational outcomes and success? What can we do at WCC to better support our students? We will be addressing these important questions through hearing student stories, examining the data and scholarly literature, and learning about the currently existing supports that are available at WCC.

What: Talkin’ Stories – Students of Color in Higher Education
When: Wednesday, April 10, 12:00pm-1:00pm
Where: Simpson Intercultural Center (SYRE217)

We hope to see you there!
