Kate is lead author and instructor for the Patient Navigation Advocacy course. She has worked at Whatcom Community College in varying capacities since 2004. Kate, a Registered Nurse, also works at Western Washington University as a triage nurse in the student health center. Her work experience includes acute care at University of Washington Medical Center, Case Management, clinical Nursing instructor and k-12 School Nurse. Kate is passionate about upstream health and education. She is a youth advocate, and volunteers with organizations related to healthy youth development in Bellingham. Kate serves on a National Patient Advocate Credentialing board as a subject matter expert.
