David Kaynor has been helping people understand the world around them for over 18 years in Western Washington.  David was born in Central Washington and has been a lifelong resident of Washington State. In pursuing his passion for knowledge (and birds) he has traveled extensively through every county in Washington and every state in the western United States. 

As an active birder since 1989 and a geology buff from birth, David has an in-depth knowledge of the birds and geology throughout the region.  Beyond popular publications on these subjects, he stays current with memberships in the Washington Ornithological Society, Planetary Society, and the Geologic Society of America. 

Birding and geology are not the only subject matters that David explores, he also has classes on history, travel, adventure, paleontology, biology, and astronomy.
