Welcome New Students!
Congratulations on your acceptance to Whatcom Community College. We are thrilled to welcome you to our community.
Orientation is an opportunity for you to meet other students, learn about career pathways, and prepare for a strong start in college.
Summer & Fall New Student Orientation will take place on the following dates:
- July 16
- August 22
- September 5
- September 17
In-Person Orientation Sample Schedule
- 9:00 a.m. - 9:30 a.m. - Tips for a successful first day of college
- 9:30 a.m. - 10:45 a.m. - Meet your Advisor
- 10:45 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. - Students' Choice
- Guided Campus Tour
- Express Enrollment
- Test out the Student Recreation Center and use the basketball courts, badminton courts, cardio options and weights.

If our in-person orientations don't fit with your schedule, you can complete our online New Student Orientation.
It should only take you about thirty minutes to complete, and will help you familiarize yourself with the many resources available to you as a student. You'll meet your virtual success network, learn how to navigate registration, and be ready to enroll in your first quarter of classes!
