Please join us in the Simpson Intercultural Center (SYRE 217) for a belated recognition of Transgender Day of Visibility (the official day was 3/31, Sunday before the start of the quarter). We plan to hold space for the campus community to celebrate and recognize the strengths, beauty, and experiences of Transgender people. This event will focus on hearing the stories of our Transgender community to improve our understanding of some of the ongoing challenges, as well as spending time considering what more can be done to better support them.
This event is open to all. Please note: there will be a separate recognition hosted at a different time for just our Trans identifying folks. For more information, please contact Chelsea Van Dyke (cvandyke@whatcom.edu) or Joelle Weisel (jweisel@whatcom.edu)
We hope to see you there!
