Staff bio

Nick Potter earned his Master's degree in English Literature from Western Washington University in 2009. He is the acting Advisor for Whatcom Community College’s Film Club and active in the larger Whatcom film community. Among his favorite filmmakers are Kon Satoshi, Wes Anderson, Asghar Farhadi, Agnès Varda, Wong Kar-wai, Lynne Ramsay, and Pedro Almodóvar. At WCC, he teaches Film 101: Introduction to Film, Film 130: History of Film, Film 210: Film Genres, Film 240: Documentary Film, Film 280: International Film, Humanities 270: Culture through Japanese Cinema, as well as other courses.
