Roby Blecker has extensive experience as an author, teacher, editor, public speaker, and spiritual director. The author of both fiction (as Roby James) and nonfiction, her first book was published in 1996, and her nonfiction has appeared in both local and national media, including the lead op-ed piece in the Washington Post on Easter Sunday in 1993. She has spoken before audiences as large as 1000 on subjects varying from science fiction and fantasy to Jewish-Christian relationships. She has taught in adult education programs for California State University, Northridge, and for The Learning Tree, in Los Angeles.
