Currently residing in Bellingham, Washington, Erica spends her days planning travel, volunteering, crafting, and enjoying time in nature. Growing up in Laurel Canyon, Los Angeles gave her an appreciation for living in natural environments that led to her moving first to Portland, Oregon, and eventually, to Seattle and then Bellingham.

As an educator in diverse communities for 30 years, Erica had the opportunity to grow in her understanding of how cross-cultural experiences could help build positive connections among participants. She traveled with her students, watching them grow through exposure to the values and traditions of other cultures.

Taking her travel interests one step further, she enrolled in an associate degree program in travel marketing at a local community college, with the intent to start some type of travel service that focused on connecting more deeply with local cultures once she retired.

Planning independent travel to Italy over the past two decades has given Erica a deep personal knowledge of the country and led her to creating Roads Less Traveled Italy. Fluent in Italian, she has longtime relationships with locals and is constantly learning about new hidden gems to share with travelers. She is now also teaching courses through local continuing education programs on how to travel off the beaten path to Italy.

As a retired school counselor, Erica prides herself on superlative customer service, as well as a thorough desire to assist travelers in turning their ideas into reality.
