As a result of completing the associate of technical arts (ATA) in visual communications, you should be able to:

  1. Create visual communications that convey the intended message by applying the principles of design and typography.
  2. Create a solution to a design problem considering the target audience, project objectives, and/or client's needs.
  3. Articulate the concept of the project solution to an audience through its objective, aesthetic, and the anticipated result.
  4. Create final art/digital media to industry technical standards - for print, web, and multimedia purposes - using graphics/digital media software.
  5. Conduct business in accordance with standard professional practice.
