As a result of completing the early childhood education (ECE) associate in arts and sciences - transfer (AAS-T) degree, ECE associate of applied science (AAS) degree, or State ECE certificate, you should be able to:

  1. Promote child development and learning.
  2. Build family and community relationships.
  3. Observe, document, and assess to support young children and families.
  4. Use developmentally appropriate approaches.
  5. Build meaningful curriculum using content knowledge.
  6. Use professional standards and ethical guidelines.

As a result of completing the ECE AAS degree or State ECE certificate, you should also be able to:

  1. Plan and assess progress for a specific learning style or age group.
