As a result of completing the substance use disorder professional program, you should be able to:

1. Apply evidence-based treatment interventions for individuals and families experiencing substance use disorders.
2. Perform counseling techniques characterized by effective communication, boundaries, and empathy.
3. Analyze the cultural context of clients.
4. Apply federal and state laws, ethics, and standard agency policies.
5. Employ client centered substance use disorder case management skills, treatment modalities, and methods.
6. Evaluate clients with co-occurring disorders within an integrated services model.
